Also I'd like to know exactly how you can explain your magical insight into Neil's intent. The majority of people seem to disagree with your assessment, including the majority of the people who aren't even Sens fans.

I think it's about time you gave your head a shake and made an assessment based on facts, not some sort of mysterious insight into a player's motivation. Especially one that includes a player intending to hit a player in the head who as you mentioned is 6 inches taller than him.

The Neil-Drury hit was really dirty. If that had happened in today's NHL he would have been suspended a good long time, I would hope. The hit on Boyle might be a play that should be taken out of the game, but that hasn't been.

Don't give him hits, it isn't worth it. Anyone on this site can tell you the calibre of these blogs, just let it be.

Funny how known anti-Sens analysts like Healy, Kypreos, etc. are stating it's a clean hit with an unfortunate result.

The hit on drury was before the headshot rule came in and completely legal at the time. If scott stevens was playing right now people would be saying the same thing about him now.

why don't you read the comments by other real NHL Writers and even NHL commentators. Sorry to burst your bubble, but they all said the hit was fine.

Tortorella is a whiner, maybe one of the worst in the league. I'm sure he didn't see an issue with the elbow on Alfredsson was a hockey plays.

All Tortorella is doing is playing up the hit so the league will review it. It's nothing like the Hossa hit. Torres left his feet, Hossa wasn't anywhere near the puck. Boyle was too busy admiring his shot. Neil never left his feet, didn't target the head and it was less than a second after the shot was gone. Again read the real reporters.

And I really do feel sorry for the Sabres fans that have to have you as their blogger.

Why aren't you blogging about the Sabres? Why do you always try and generate stories to take away traffic from real bloggers. They must all hate you because you try and steal their compensation.

Anyway, hit was not late, it was initially to the body but head was part of the follow through, Boyle had his head down, Boyle cut into the middle of the ice at a prime shooting area, he is going to get hit there every time. Do you want to take hitting out of the game? Would you rather players get to the middle of the ice without having to be hit?

Neil is dangerous, well said. Sens in 6 and NYR can keep crying about hockey hits or they can just get down to it and play hard.

Nobody in Ottawa complained about the Hagelin hit on Alfie, but now NYR need a reason to hate Ottawa because you can't hate a team that plays with all heart and good old fashioned Canadian Hockey.
